Mahon Port
Because of its natural characteristics and its strategic position, the port of Mahon, one of the longest natural harbours of the world, has been a coveted prey of all maritime powers who contested control of the Mediterranean and who, on different occasions, have dominated Minorca because of the military and commercial value of this port. Apart from its scenic beauty, the port offers numerous sites of historical interest such as the King's Island, the Lazaret Island and the Fortress of Isabel II.

Reviews
Alain Delanghe, the owner of Menorca Private Tours, is extraordinary.
Joan K, 10-08-2022
This was one of the finest private tours I have ever had. Alain is extremely knowledgeable and loves to share his expertise. I am a world traveler and I love to absorb and be exposed to the marvels of any given place. We spent eight hours together combing the wonders of this island. Before my tour, I had minor expectations for Menorca. I have already been to the other Balearic Islands. After my day trip with Alain, I had complexly changed my opinion.
The island had beautiful parts, especially Ciutadella, a stunning city architecturally and culturally. The Museum is excellent there. I loved seeing the beach and cove of Cala Galdana. The auxiliary road from Es Mercadal to Harbor, called Kaine’s road was also beautiful and an excellent choice of off-the “beaten path” routes. We observed the prehistoric sites from a distance.
I must mention that I was in a wheelchair during our excursion. I had had an acute attack of sciatica. Alain walked me everywhere and did so with warmth and great consideration.
He made my day so enjoyable and I really got to know the island. He and I bonded because I have extreme interest in the history and culture of Menorca.
